I am Back!
I suffered a very serious, traumatic and unexpected event back in August of 2008 at the Canadian Open which eventually lead to numerous medical complications that almost killed me. You can learn more by clicking on the following link.

Latest News
I recently returned from the Indy 500 where I worked on a local Boise race car driver, Davey Hamilton. I also reconnected with old friends like Parnelli Jones Sr., Parnelli Jones Jr., and Rafael Matos. Watch some of the video testimonials.

I am back and able to do what I love and recently moved into a new office in Maui, and I also travel all over doing massages. I am now taking appointments for anyone interested in the services I offer. Please contact me at

This is a  diagnostic tool where I use the body's neuromuscular system and other measurable parameters to aid in evaluating what is wrong with my clients, and what treatment I should use to remedy your condition.

Shiatsu Master
I am a professional Shiatsupractor and am specially trained in the original shiatsu methods developed by Tokijuro Namikoshi. The characteristic of shiatsu as defined by Namikoshi is to apply pressure using only the fingers, palms and especially the thumbs on points that have been related to the central and autonomic nervous systems. Masanuga, who identified reflections of the acupuncture channels in the arms and legs, considered that a shiatsu treatment should:

  1. involve the whole body,
  2. require a focused practitioner sensitive to the energy distributions of the body,
  3. provide an extra dimension of connection and support using both hands where one 'listens' and other acts.

The essence of shiatsu is "Diagnosis and Therapy combined." This is the ability of practitioners like myself to use my sensory organs (palms, fingers, and thumbs) to detect disharmonies in the energetic components of the body, (such as stiffness or slackness at or within its surface), and to perform empirically established routines to correct these problems. To acquire this skill takes specialized training (read my Bio to learn more of my story and training) and a considerable amount of experience. I have been a Shiatsu Master for over 30 years.

This is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

Active Release Techniques (ART)
This is s a patented, state of the art soft tissue system/movement based massage technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. Headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shin splints, shoulder pain, sciatica, plantar fascitis, knee problems, and tennis elbow are just a few of the many conditions that can be resolved quickly and permanently with ART. These conditions all have one important thing in common: they are often a result of overused muscles.

Chair Massage or On-site Massage
This massage technique is administered while the client is clothed and seated in a specially designed chair. These chairs most often slope forward allowing access to the large muscles of the back. It usually lasts between 15 and 30 minutes and is intended to relax and improve circulation. It typically focuses on key tension areas in the back, neck, shoulders and arms.

Foot or Sole Massage
By applying pressure on the soles of the feet and by massaging a particular area on the sole of the foot it helps relieve stress.

Cranio-Sacral Therapy
This is is a technique for finding and correcting cerebral and spinal imbalances or blockages that may cause sensory, motor or intellectual dysfunction.

Deep Connective Tissue Massage
This technique releases the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the grain of muscles, tendons and fascia. It is called deep tissue, because it also focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue.

Deep Muscle Therapy
This works to stimulate the lymphatic and circulatory systems to promote cellular repair while removing the hazardous toxins. Aimed at correcting and preventing serious muscle conditions, such as Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy, and Parkinson's.

Manual Lymph Drainage
A method for lymphatic drainage involving flat hands, using all of the fingers to simulate wave-like movements. The results include reduction of certain types edema (those resulting from trauma and/or scarring).

Muscle Energy Techniques
Treatments in which a patient, on request, actively uses his muscles from a controlled position in a specific direction against a counter force. These techniques are used to strengthen weak muscles, stretch tight muscles and fascia, mobilize joints in which movement is restricted, and to improve local circulation.

Myofascial Trigger Point Release
This is a form of bodywork that is manipulative in nature and seeks to rebalance the body by releasing tension in the fascia. Long, stretching strokes are utilized to release muscular tension.

Shiatsu and Acupressure
Oriental-based systems of finger-pressure which treat special points along acupuncture "meridians" (the invisible channels of energy flow in the body).

Sports Massage
Massage therapy focusing on muscle systems relevant to a particular sport or sport injury.

Swedish Massage
This is a system of long strokes, kneading and friction techniques on the more superficial layers of the muscles, combined with active and passive movements of the joints.

Trigger Points
Also known as Myotherapy or Neuromuscular Therapy. This technique applies concentrated finger pressure to "trigger points" (painful irritated areas in muscles) to break cycles of spasm and pain.

Massage based around a system of points in the hands and feet thought to correspond, or "reflex," to all areas of the body.

Prenatal/Pregnancy Massage
Pregnancy massage, also known as pre-natal massage, promotes relaxation, soothes nerves, and relieves strained back and leg muscles in expectant mothers. Pregnancy massage is especially beneficial in the second and third trimesters, when the extra weight in your belly puts a strain on your back.

Scalp Massage
Is a massage technique that can increase blood circulation to the hair follicles, increase relaxation, decrease stress, condition the scalp, and boost the strength of the hair roots. The kneading pressure applied by massage warms the skin and opens up blood vessels to increase flow and boost circulation. Increased circulation means that the cells of the hair follicle will receive more of the nutrients necessary to optimal hair growth function.
